A Good Space co-organised “2020 Reflections: Voices Of Our Migrants” with Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre and Welcome In My Backyard on 27 December 2020.
This online-and-offline hybrid event was designed together with our migrant friends to understand what would make it meaningful for them. They’ve expressed a desire for their stories to be heard, and for their artistic skills and talents across different migrant communities to be celebrated.
That’s why we had a panel exploring how 2020 has been for our migrant friends, through the art that they make.
We also had a chance to envision 2021 with them by creating and sharing our own art!
Through their artworks and expressions, we hope you’ll come to see the richness in the lives of our migrant friends, beyond the work that they do for us in Singapore.
Watch the video below to appreciate the heartfelt stories and artworks that were shared during the event:

After envisioning 2021 together, both migrant and local participants were invited to share their artworks on a virtual art wall.
Here’s a screenshot of some of the beautiful works of art that were created!
