A Good Space Co-operative
Singapore’s first co-operative for changemakers, by changemakers
About A Good Space
We are Singapore’s first co-operative co-owned by changemakers. Our social mission is to help our 35 changemaker members to sustain their projects and flourish, whilst facilitating collaborative solutions for complex social issues and nurturing employees to become changemakers.
Our community
At its core, A Good Space is a community of ordinary citizen changemakers who choose to come together because we believe that as a collective, we can do more for the issues and communities we care about. We are currently 35 members, all based in Singapore.
Discover our membership experience
Over the years speaking and working with diverse changemakers, we discovered that they face 5 key challenges which makes it difficult for them to sustain their projects. Many eventually feel burnt-out and alone. Some drop out – which is what nobody wants.
Through our membership experience, we seek to create a nourishing environment for changemakers to find sustainability, resilience and flourish. When we come together, we can unlock new possibilities to overcome the challenges we face, rather than struggling alone.
Bring changemaking to your workplace
We believe every employee can be a changemaker and seek to create authentic, tailored learning experiences to connect them with people and issues on the ground, so that they can harness their personal and organisational resources to drive social change with diverse and under-served communities.
Follow Our Journey
We share our experiences, lessons we’ve learnt and reflections along this journey of discovery as a co-operative of changemakers. Here are some of our latest writings.

People Behind Purpose: Melissa Kwee – Building Communities That Feel Like Home
What if building community isn’t about organising more events, but about helping people feel like they belong?
In this edition of People Behind Purpose, we meet Melissa Kwee at the heart of a Queenstown Kakis gathering, where her actions reveal a simple yet powerful philosophy: communities are built through genuine relationships, everyday acts of kindness, and the belief that everyone has something valuable to contribute. Through stories of Beautiful People and Queenstown Kakis, Melissa challenges us to rethink leadership, belonging, and what it truly means to walk alongside others.

People Behind Purpose: Louis Puah – Reimagining Education for a Changing World
What if education prepared us not just for exams, but for life? Louis Puah shares why authentic learning happens through experience, how curiosity and adaptability matter more than perfect grades, and why creating your own opportunities is the key to thriving in a rapidly changing world.

People Behind Purpose: Faridah Wu – Creating Spaces Where Stories Matter
Why do we celebrate success but rarely talk about the struggles behind it? Faridah Wu, founder of Merlion Project and Treasurer of A Good Space Co-operative, believes that the stories of rejection, failure, and resilience are the ones that connect us most deeply. She shares how curiosity led her to create spaces for honest conversations, why vulnerability builds stronger communities, and how embracing every season of life has shaped her journey.

People Behind Purpose: Dean Ng – Facilitating Purposeful Growth
What does it mean to help someone grow? From police officer to health coach and facilitator, Dean Ng’s journey has been guided by a desire to create meaningful change. In this edition of People Behind Purpose, she shares how purpose evolves, why facilitation is about empowering rather than teaching, and the lessons that have shaped her approach to health, community, and life.
